I first heard of these guys from their song Knife, but other than that one single, I haven’t had much interest in them. But boy did I listen to that one single a lot. It had this mellow feel to it that I can’t not love and the weirdness of the music video just caught my attention even more. It just stood out to me over anything else on the Yellow House album, but the rest of it didn’t do much for me.

Now their new album has landed and another single, Two Weeks, instantly catches my attention. Currently $4 at Amazon via MP3, I was previewing the tracks and just two songs in, I listened to Two Weeks and it was a no brainer purchase for me. The vocals actually reminded me a bit of the Battles in this one song. But yeah, the single. It’s quite an amazing song.

I actually listened to the whole album and the entirety of it just sort of blew me away. I had no idea the Grizzly Bears had this in them. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite albums of the year.
