…how you disappoint.

Now, I love Amazon. Signed up under Prime, Amazon is an amazing way to shop for items and have it delivered so soon after ordering. The problem is that when it stumbles, it always seems to stumble big, at least in my eyes.

I’ve been anticipating inFAMOUS for a while now, and the day has come for release…only I don’t have it. Yes, I’ll cry more. I pre-ordered under the ‘release date delivery,’ and low and behold, it’s release date and I don’t have it. It was originally “sent” out Friday and it seemed that the package was in Phoenix just awaiting Tuesday to be delivered. Of course, that’s not the case. It seems that according to UPS’s tracking system, all they recieved was the billing information. It could be UPS’s fault by misplacing the package, but Amazon has disappointed before when it comes to pre-orders.

The same thing happened to the 1000HE, except the netbook was out of stock as Amazon had greatly underestimated the amount of pre-orders. But, that’s fine. I’ll let that mistake go because no one else had it in stock. InFAMOUS on the other hand, a ton of stores have it in stock. I could’ve gone to Fry’s Electronics at 8AM, spend $3-4 more and been playing since morning (which I should’ve done and return Amazon’s copy to Fry’s).

My fault I suppose… I made a vow during the 1000HE fiasco I think it was, or perhaps it was with another highly anticipated video game that I wouldn’t pre-order from them again. Though, part of the reason I did was that I was saving about $6 and I wouldn’t have to go anywhere to get it. Yet I am starting to remember more incidents where Amazon hasn’t delivered in a timely fashion.

Amazon, I love you, but you always choose to disappoint with the more desirable items. Why couldn’t you be late with my bookends and send me inFAMOUS on time instead?
